"I Want to Go to Work with Daddy!"

By Thepracticalmommy2 @PracticalMommy2
My son is almost four years old, and these days, he's very into his dad. It's cool, but what's not cool are the tantrums that ensue when A2 (nickame) doesn't get to go to work with his daddy.
Every morning and every other evening: "I just want to go to work with Dad! It's not fair! I just want to go!"
It's normal; I get it. He just wants to be with his dad. It just can't happen. My husband's day job is in a school setting, and his at night in the spring/summer he has a small landscaping and lawncare business. A2 can't be at the school with him nor can he go on the lawncare jobs, at least not until he's older and can be more of a help than a hindrance.
Ever try explaining that to a tantrumming 4yo?? It ain't pretty.
I'm estatic he loves his dad so much to really want to be with him. It's awesome.
For now, he gets to be Mommy's helper at home, doing all the exciting things like laundry, cleaning, cooking....
Yeah, I can see why he wants to go with Daddy. I want to go too!
