I See You by Clare Mackintosh

By Pamelascott

When Zoe Walker sees her photo in the classifieds section of a London newspaper, she is determined to find out why it's there. There's no explanation: just a grainy image, a website address and a phone number. She takes it home to her family, who are convinced it's just someone who looks like Zoe. But the next day the advert shows a photo of a different woman, and another the day after that. Is it a mistake? A coincidence? Or is someone keeping track of every move they make ...

Clare Mackintosh has become my new favourite crime writer. I Let You Go blew my mind when I read it recently. I See You is even better.

I loved this book, full of so many twists, turns and misdirection's it made me feel quite light-headed and dizzy.

I See You is gripping, the kind of book you find it hard to stop reading once you start, a book that pulls you further and further into the darkness as things get crazier and crazier.

I loved the premise of the book. Imagine how you'd feel if you saw your picture in the classifieds? Image how you'd feel if another woman's picture you saw was murdered? I loved the way the author handled the premise of the book. I found it creepy as hell. The more is revealed about what's going on, the creepier the book became.

There is a shocking revelation in the epilogue that floored me. Is this a hint for the next book? I can't wait to read the author's next one.
