How To Make Fabric Covered Clothespins Tutorial

I really wanted something to highlight the kids’ artwork, something that would hang over our chalkboard wall, and be relatively easy–I found the answer in these crafty fabric covered clothespins!

Simple and easy, I can’t believe how cute these fabric covered clothespins turned out. Although one blog suggested using double-sided tape, I thought that the decoupage finish option sounded infinitely easier.

Even Kid #1 wanted to help. So, he used the decoupage finish and spread it on each clothespin while I lined up the fabric. Now? I have just what I wanted and it hardly cost a thing! Win/win. I found this idea (to use as gift tags) on the Prudent Baby blog.

I think this is a great beginning! Those craftier than I, could paint the clothespin first and even add do-dads of some kind on the top of it. Fun!
