How much worse would this be if firearms were involved?
Let me be clear - I don't think anyone involved in this incident behaved well, or properly. The victims had no business climbing over the counter, and absent any audio of the exchange clarifying what happened, it would strongly suggest to me either an intended assault or an attempted robbery.
But escalating violence only escalates the level of incivility in our society.
