Homemade Pizza Crust Recipe

This is our favorite homemade pizza crust recipe. little Indiana and hubby make our own pizza all the time. Like I said, I love pizza!

It’s so easy to make and easy to customize. Just add in your favorite seasonings to the dough.

We use this versatile pizza crust recipe in our oven and even on the grill. It’s delicious!

Yield: 1 Pizza Crust

It's great any way you slice it!

Ingredients

• 2 1/4 teaspoons Yeast
• 1 Cup Warm Water
• 2 1/2 Cups Flour
• 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
• 1 teaspoon Sugar
• 1 teaspoon Salt
• Seasonings to Taste: Garlic, Basil, Oregano, etc.

Instructions

1. Soften Yeast in Warm Water. Set aside for 5 minutes.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. With an electric mixer, mix to combine.
4. Let rest for 10 minutes or until dough keeps its shape when you try to work with it.
5. Now it's ready to be made into crust!
6. I prefer to make smaller circles of dough.
7. Oil your cookie sheet with Olive Oil or use a pizza stone.
8. Brush top of pizza with a little Olive Oil.
9. Bake 450* for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
10. I always pre-bake my pizza crust for a nice golden pizza. So, after the initial baking period, I take it out, layer on my desired toppings, then pop it back in just until the cheese is melty. Otherwise, you can throw on your toppings and bake it all at once for the 15 minutes. Easy, peasy. GOOD!
