Holiday Shopping Tips…Holiday Shopping Tips…

If you aren’t planning to hole up with a bottle of vodka and do all of your Christmas shopping online (oh, am I the only one?) then this post is for you.  Maneuvering the mall during holiday shopping is a true art form. It takes preparation, planning and sometimes you have to go shopping for something to wear for when you’re shopping (<— that’s a real thing). I won’t call myself a seasoned veteran, but I know a thing or ten about getting in and out of a mall with my sanity intact. Here are my tips:

1. Where a crossbody bag—-do not show up with a purse that you have to hang on your arm. YOU NEED BOTH ARMS.

2. Avoid needing a coat. Dress warm enough to make it from your car to the mall without a coat—that way you don’t have to haul one around with you. I like a light sweater + scarf. If the scarf gets warm it is easy to shove into a bag.

3. Flat shoes that are easy to take on and off.

4. A notebook with all of your shopping lists, ideas, sizes, colors, inspiration etc.

5. One of these handy plastic folders for organizing coupons, promotions and other important info. Start clipping & saving them now, then decide which ones to use before you go shopping.

6. Water Bottle—there is nothing worse than a dehydration-induced headache in the middle of shopping. Stay hydrated!
