Holiday Beauty Essentials - Hand Luggage Edit

Today I'm jetting off to Barcelona for a few days, so I thought it would be the perfect time to tell you what essentials I've packed into my hand luggage.For a short city break I don't see the point in paying extra to pop a bigger case in the hold. Yes it's handy if you're going on a shopping spree, hello Sephora, but I can manage to pack enough into a smaller case to see me through 3-4 days. I'd rather have that £30+ to spend on some food/drinks while I'm there.
It can get a bit tricky when it comes to packing the beauty bits. Bumble & Bumble minis will always come away with me, as I favour surf spray over hairspray when I'm away to give me that effortless undone look (which will also happen if I've forgotten to pack a hairbrush) then Rose Jam being my all-time favorite shower gel. I swear I'm still working through my stash from Christmas! Suncream and face SPF are essentials, so I've got mini ones ready to pop in my bag when we arrive so I can reapply during the day. No dodgy sunburn for me please!
I'm only taking one lip balm, lip gloss and lipstick - which for a makeup fiend like me is some task. But if I think about it, during the day I'll probably just want a lip balm to reapply so I'll save my Tom Ford for the evenings. I've popped some of my foundation into a little pot, rather than take the full bulky bottle, then I've put waterproof mascara, concealer and eyeliner in my boyfriend's liquids allowance, along with a little perfume sample, rather than take my full Jo Malone bottle.
I've also thrown in a couple of sample sachets; body scrub, overnight mask and of course I'll have toothpaste and my toothbrush!
