It's definitely a feat to pull off a leather outfit without looking like a fetishist or a 90's rapper.
So naturally,
I wore what is essentially a skirt suit (with a devious twist) for afternoon tea at the Liberty Hotel this weekend. I used the leather lapels of the blazer to play off the miniskirt and make it look more cohesive. For an added layer of leather, I went with my over-the-knee boots from Charles David (scored at the Bloomingdale's outlet in Wrentham, FYI!) that, if you've noticed, have become my uniform this season. A bright red NIC + ZOE top (scored at the new flagship store in the Prudential Center) broke up the matchy-matchy ensemble: The bright color and silky fabric added a punchy contrast.This is how I do a suit!(PS: Check out my interview with Nic + Zoe founder Dorian Lightbown here)
