Haul | TK Maxx Homeware

I am a ridiculous woman. As if all the beauty and make-up bargains I picked up at TK Maxx weren’t enough, I just had to have a rummage around the Home department too didn’t I? To read about my make-up and beauty hauls click here and here
To justify myself, I will say that I am moving house in March. We’re moving to a new build house which is something I never thought I would do. I’ve always found them a bit staged, soulless and Stepford Wives. To try and add a bit of character and personality to our new home I want to fill it with interesting bits and pieces. Who does interesting homeware bits and pieces better than TK Maxx eh? This first purchase is without a doubt my favourite, and most random. I found this in the book section of the store. I thought it might be some sort of illustrated version of Little Women. Turns out it’s a jigsaw! I have no idea what I’m going to do with this, but I just had to have it. Little Women was one of the first ‘proper’ books I ever read, and I’ve read it multiple times since. I might just put this on a shelf somewhere and it can just sit there and be lovely.

Who doesn’t love a good candle? TK Maxx have a large selection of candles. I find it impossible to go into a TK Maxx store and leave without at least one candle.

I was instantly drawn to these two because of the scents. Orange and Coconut, and English Strawberry, come on I had to! The English Strawberry in particular makes me do a weird face whenever I smell it because it is just so good!

One of the spare bedrooms in our new house is going to become my wardrobe/dressing room and I’ll finally have the beautiful dressing table I’ve always wanted. This means that I’ve been picking up a few little dressing table storage/display bits to help organize my make-up and jewelry. These are the pieces I bought from TK Maxx.

All my beauty products are currently flung in a drawer which means I often forget what I actually have. To encourage me to use up my stash a bit more I bought this little bathroom organiser. I’m going to put all my shower gels, body lotions, shampoos etc. on this in my bathroom to help me see everything a bit better, which should hopefully help me to actually start to work through the products I already have before I buy any more!

I’ve been collecting a tonne of mismatched photo frames since we bought our new house. I want our home to be filled with loads of photos of loved ones, to make it feel really homely and ours. TK Maxx always have absolutely beautiful photo frames. I highly recommend having a look if you’re after something a little bit different.

Finally, here’s a pretty lampshade, because our new house will have lamps in it. That’s justification enough I think!

I believe that in England there are Homesense stores, which are part of the TK Maxx brand. You can find the kind of thing you see in the Home department of TK Maxx stores, but on a much larger scale. We don’t have any Homesense stores in Scotland yet which is so disappointing! I reckon I could lose a good few hours of my life in a Homesense store!
Does anyone else love a good rummage around the Home section of TK Maxx?
