Just in time for fireworks and brats on the grill, yesterday was Viral Nation’s birthday!
My family and friends (including Brian!) helped me celebrate at my favorite restaurant. Tacos and margaritas? Perfection.
After months and months of work and waiting, there aren’t even words to describe how excited I am. Viral Nation is in book stores. And libraries! I didn’t even realize how cool that would be until I realized that it was true. My friend Marcia went to a local branch and snapped a picture of the librarian holding a copy!
My husband and my daughter and I went to our local Barnes and Noble and it was such a surreal moment. I’m all about supporting my local indie book store–but I’ve been dreaming about seeing my book at Barnes and Noble most of my life. And there it was. We bought four copies to take the party, and a girl who was looking for something to read bought another one right out of my hands. That was a super awesome moment.
Anyway–bottom line is that my book is out there. Definitely online. Maybe even in your local library or book store. I couldn’t be more thrilled. I hope you’ll love Clover and West and Jude and the rest of the Freaks as much as I loved writing them.
