LOCATION
Greenleaf Hotel Gensan is strategically located within the city center of General Santos. It’s right by three malls, namely SM City General Santos, KCC Mall of Gensan, and Gaisano Mall of Gensan. The city’s bus terminal can be reached by tricycle in a few minutes, while the international airport, to which the hotel provides free transfers to, is only 30 minutes away.
STYLE/CHARACTER
Greenleaf Hotel Gensan is known to be the city’s, if not the region’s, most luxurious. Its interiors are modern and chic, akin to some of the five-star properties we’ve stayed at elsewhere in Asia. And the contemporary art pieces by local artists in the hotel lobby are a sight to behold, adding to the overall classiness of the place.
ROOMS
Its rooms, laid out in a relaxing palette of earth tones, are elegantly styled and thus easy on the eyes. They too are well-appointed, equipped with every traveler’s needs from a cozy bedding to a sleek working desk. The bathrooms, meanwhile, are immaculately clean.
FACILITIES
Like other reputable hotels, Greenleaf Hotel Gensan has bars, restaurants, a fitness center, a spa, and a sizeable swimming pool that may be used to host events. And as one of the region’s biggest MICE venues, it houses state-of-the-art function rooms and ballrooms.
FOOD AND DRINK
Breakfasts at Mint Café are a mix of tasty Filipino, Asian, and Western dishes. Its selection of food is large and so filling that I had to skip lunch.
SERVICE
Its staff are polite and friendly, and they attended to my needs efficiently. The complimentary airport shuttle service is efficient as well.
VALUE FOR MONEY
As the most highly-rated hotel in General Santos, Greenleaf Hotel Gensan understandably charges above-the-average nightly rates. It’s worth the money though for those who prefer a truly comfortable place to stay in the city.
