While normally the month of March brings people out of hibernation, warm weather, the smell of spring, and some really cute clothes, that has definitely not been the case thus far. Hopefully this weekend (which will be full of St. Patty's day celebrations) will help us turn the corner. Next week there are two big events in Chicago which I will be attending, and I would love you to come check them out! The first one is Thursday March 21st from 6-8pm at the 900 shops on Michigan Avenue. It is a fashion event starring "the real people" of Chicago. Ten of Chicago's most fashionable tastemakers will kick off this event with the show featuring 900 North Michigan Avenue's latest trends. There will be food, cocktails, and a DJ! I was lucky enough to have been asked to work behind the scenes of this show, and then will be joining the main event when the show is over.
The second event of the week is a "Chicago Next Generation Event." I am excited to support the work of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Click here for more information/ticket purchase.
Anyways, back to this so called season of spring that is allegedly around the corner. My friend Lara and I decided to get our nails done "festively" for this upcoming weekend. I used the color "Jade is the New Black" by OPI, and Lara used the color "Pretty Edgy" by Essie. Now that it is March, I think it is only appropriate to retire my go-to "Lincoln Park After Dark" until next Fall. How are you guys celebrating the holiday this weekend?
