Gorgolias another Unique Taste of Iligan City

Adding to the unique taste that Iliganon offers to the world of cookery is this pastry called "Gorgolias," which I tasted during the Iligan Chamber of Commerce exhibit in celebration of the Iligan Business Moth held at the second floor Gaisano Supermall, Ilign City. Gorgolias are actually sweet fried pastries which is a dough cut in a small equal sizes, coiled shaped like shells and glazed with sugar syrup. Tasting it for the first time its actually crunchy, but unarguably creamy inside which is because of its ingredients. According to Mr. George, his late grandmother Francisca Nadayag Sanson also known as "Nanay Seking" is the great source of their desire to venture on the world of cookery by recollecting the old recipes of the latter. He made mention that at present, Iligan lacks a distinct signature flavor to offer the world as we all know that we only have specially made peanuts from Cheding's; for that I assume that they are going to take advantage of that opportunity by introducing first their product to the people of Iligan and one way to do that is by joining trade fairs conducted by the Iligan Chamber of Commerce.
