Google has released a new version of its’ spreadsheet app, “Sheets” allowing users to work with the app even without an Internet connection. Remake of the app makes it easier to view and edit Sheets anytime you want as the synchronization happens automatically when you get back online.

In addition, Google has also improved the performance of the app with faster loading, scrolling and support for larger sheets with millions of cells.  You can now also use filter views to make custom views of the data on Sheets.

This will be a massive blow to Microsoft’s Office package that costs your hundreds of dollars. I’m not sure if anyone would be foolish to use those ridiculously expensive software when we have these impressive free apps. Ever since Google announced Drive, I gave up on MS Office, and now I’m a proud user of Google Docs. Go check your Google Drive settings and start using the new Sheets.

Check out the video for a quick look at the new features.
