It is run by two young Black female attorneys who reside on the island. Yes, they are very much dissidents. One even got arrested and thrown in jail for three days recently (this is pretty typical treatment for dissidents – they throw them in jail for a bit and then release them). Most anti-Cuban articles in the US are filled with nothing but lies. But unfortunately, most of what these women write about is dead-on true (I do not agree with some of their opinions such as that Cuban Communism is a failed system).
There is very little lying going on this site, and the problems that they talk about are very real ones. Cuban state officials really ought to be reading this blog to understand what people are complaining about. Many of these problems could probably be fixed fairly easily without compromising the values of society too much.
