GO healthy challenge

And… it happened again. Yesteday I skipped one day off running. As I’ve told you before, 2 rest days a week should be enough. That means 5 active days and no excuses. Since I started working at Fashiolista this has been something more like… oh, it’s Friday! And the last time that I ran was before LAST weekend. Go figure. Of course this has a reasonable explanation, I’ve been working ’til late, preferably followed by events like this, this and this one. Oh, and when I come home I have a house, a boyfriend, a puppy, and oh yes, the blog that you’re reading right now. The lights in my apartment don’t go off before 1.30AM, if lucky. So I don’t even put the alarm at 6 o’clock to go for a run. 4 hours of sleep = no 10 km run. And it’s kind of too dark and cold outside at 11/12PM to go running every night, although I’ve used it as an extreme measure.

Second thing that went down; food. When people at your work start calling you jelly beans monster and you consider Starbucks muffins a meal, there you have it. You’re not healthy. Not talking about skinny or fat, just that you’re probably eating a ton of crap. And I’m not going on a diet or anything, I mean, I (almost) never post outfit pictures so, why bother?

Well, for all of this, and because I don’t want to end up in The Biggest Loser’s next season, starting today there’s some safety measures being taken. Such as, no more jelly beans, cupcakes, cakes, chocolate, candy, waffles, ice cream and all kind of sugary delicious stuff. Reduction of all the big carbohydrate consumption to once a day, and adding green stuff to my plate. You know, vegetables. No more excuses to skip days off working out and back to the old 6AM-9PM schedule.

It’s not easy to switch back to the old good stuff, but I least I am going to give it a shot.
