Gluten Free Spotlight is a brand new monthly blog feature where we’ll promote and feature A+mazing local, regional, and national individuals/organizations that are doing wonderful work in promoting awareness for an around celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, and natural and homeopathic living. I am so excited to have the wonderful Kelly Klein as this month’s spotlight. Kelly is the founder of the Rochester edition of Natural Awakenings magazine. Natural Awakenings is a free a monthly peridocial that highlights practical news, views and tips on the latest natural approaches to nutrition, fitness, creative expression, personal growth and sustainable living. With a self drive and entrepreneurial spirit Kelly is embarking on an amazing journey to increase awareness about sustainable and clean living in the Rochester community. Kelly Klein’s Personal Biography
I grew up in Rochester and now live in Penfield with my husband Matt, our 3 children and our pug puppy Baxter. Natural Awakenings Magazine was first introduced to me 6 years ago in Raleigh NC, I was coming out of a Whole Foods store and discovered this gem of a publication. I was immediately taken by it and all the holistic health and wellness information Natural Awakenings had to offer. At the time my husband and I were growing our family, therefore it was not something I was prepared to take on. Fast forward 6 years later…my aunt sent me a copy of Natural Awakenings from Myrtle beach as it had an article that related to me. The light bulb went off in my head. I spent the fall and winter doing my research and in the early spring purchased my franchise! Natural Awakenings of Rochester NY will debut this fall!
I am passionate about living holistically and in alignment with nature and feel this magazine will give Rochester an amazing resource to all things green, natural and healthy!
