What a week!  I’m glad it’s the weekend and time for a much needed lie in.  You might know that I can sleep for Scotland, I’d be winning the Olympic medal!  Chronic Fatigue is a funny thing.  Some days you can feel like climbing mountains, well more like have the energy to put on that load of washing and go out. Yet other days it’s a struggle just getting a shower.

But it’s not all doom and gloom, Mr Foodie keeps me sane and takes me out to some excellent places to try new food.

This week we checked out La Boca on Hope Street for some Loco Tuesday Tapas at £2.50 a plate.  We have been here a few times however due to the Spanish beer selection our pictures are always a bit….squiffy… Like ourselves!

Yo Sushi invited us along to Silverburn to sample their new Welcome to Tokyo menu.  New dishes featuring smoked bonito flakes, caviar and srirancha sauce.  We’ll be back for some of their soufflé cheesecake as well.

Thursday was a busy one, two events in one night.  First off was the soft opening of Spiritualist bar in Miller Street.  Operated by the chaps behind Citation, it looks astounding.  Top decor and over 300 spirits.  I think this is even a challenge for us!  A preview is here.

After a quick glass of fizz and some cocktails it was time to help WEST Brewery celebrate their 10th Birthday.  The Templeton Building is astounding and I’m chuffed they are staying there and have expanded.  Petra looked stunning (as usual her elfin hair is cute , sorry gone girlie!) and we had a ball dancing to Go West.  We tried their Party Pils as well as Opus268.  Both tasty beers.
