Eyelids are silvered, underscored with a brisk stroke of color along the lash line – in hot pink, lagoon blue, pearly white or prairie green – that stretches toward the temple. Snappy fluorescents echo the bold colors of the clothes in Raf Simons’ Haute Couture collection for Dior. Lips, too, resonate with vivid color and the intensity of orangey reds and gourmand pinks. They also reflect the collection’s duality when, at the center of the lower lip, a touch of a different color is delicately dabbed on with a finger. Created by Tyen, Dior makeup creative director, the show look is, like Simons’ designs, a hymn to color.
A futurist trend takes shape on pale, matte, uniform faces, where only the cheekbones stand out with a light, rosy blush. Pure, shiny nails convey Nude beauty in rosy beige.
