Desiree which everyone affectionately calls Des, is a blogger over at  SteakNPotatoesKinda Gurl.

Gosh, there were so many things on her site I wanted to try. I eventually ended going with the Garlic Oven Fries.

At this point you are probably wondering what the heck I am talking about. I was lucky enough to get her blog for this months Secret Recipe Club.

Here are a few things you may not know about her.  She is a Cincinnati girl. She is working on her Masters Degree. She is also engaged to PJ her high school sweetheart. They have been together for 12 years.

We have a lot in common. After I stalked visited her site and reviewed her about page, I noticed we really do have a lot in common. She has a list of things she likes and at the top of that list is the color pink.  It is one of my favorite colors also. On the top of her list for things she dislikes the most is cleaning. Wow! That is at the top of my list also! Funny also is her take on driving. I have very little patients for slow drivers.  Mostly though my pet peeve  are the drivers that stop and have 3 parking spaces in front of them. But I digress.

Lets get back to the recipe shall we?

I didn’t change the recipe really.  I got a fancy shmancy potato cutter that makes them look just like French fries. It is ok if you don’t have one of these just do what Desiree did and slice them up. Also, I did not use garlic salt, I used garlic and I used fresh basil instead of the dried.

I hope it makes her proud and I hope you like it.

Set your oven to 500 degrees. Spray your pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl toss the potatoes and the oil. Arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet. Peace be with you,
