I've had my eye on them for a while, but after a particularly stressful day at work I made an online impulse buy to make myself feel better. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable (unlike my Vans!), I love that they aren't just plain white/black. Am now trying my best not to buy another pair of trainers - next on my hit list is a burgundy/maroon pair!In other news - it's two weeks until half term and counting down every hour! This has been the longest term ever (9 weeks) and my whole body is just exhausted and in need of rest. Those that don't teach might say we're lucky to get so much holiday, but trust me, it is most definitely needed and deserved. Teaching is like performing - standing up in front of 20 odd teenagers for up to 7 hours a day and trying to get them to want to learn/play ball/listen is no mean feat. Add lesson planning, checking university applications, writing UCAS references, marking and all the other admin into the mix and you are left with one shadow of a person after nine weeks non-stop. Last week I very nearly fell apart with tiredness and marking overload (125 essays and still going...) so literally did nothing this weekend apart from sleeping, eating and trying to catch up on 'life'. The best therapy for a stressful week? Seeing my gorgeous little nephew...
