Angelina Jolie’s Cartier Tank Louis

I recently did a post regarding Jennifer Aniston’s bold watch style and I thought it would be only appropriate to do a post on her rival, Angelina Jolie. Unlike Ms. Aniston, Angelina Jolie is often seen wearing smaller, more feminine timepieces that tend to accentuate her very slender wrist like a Chanel watch.
Ms. Jolie’s most recent acquisition is the legendary Cartier Tank Louis; a beautiful, art deco, 18kt yellow gold watch with a brown leather strap. Created in 1917 and available to the public in 1922, this was Louis Cartier’s crown jewel and the one watch he was known to give to his closest friends and confidants. The Cartier Tank Louis features parallel sidepieces and a rectangular frame, which is only offered in 18kt gold. The dial is white with beautifully contrasting black roman numerals on its face. Like most of Cartier’s watches the circular-grained crown is set with a sapphire cabochon. The Tank Louis features a 057 caliber quartz movement, this extraordinary movement complements the spectacular case and strap.
