Away Luggage

“The gladdest moment in human life is a departure into unknown lands.” – Sir Richard Burton

Recently, a friend was traveling in Europe and her phone died. She was running around like a crazy person desperately trying to find an outlet and was forced to frantically unpack and repack her luggage to find her converter. She almost missed her flight.  Bottom line, not having a way to recharge our phones can leave us dead in the water.

I will never forget when I getting off a bus in Massachusetts and the handle broke off my suitcase.  I spent the entire weekend having to awkwardly push/pull the bag around. Suitcases are an investment. Spending money now on a well-made suitcase will save you money in the long run, not to mention a lot of hassle.

Away Luggage

Away Luggage began with a simple idea:  Luggage with power.  Yup, you can charge your phone or your tablet right from the suitcase! No more fist fight over outlets. Plus, the company is aware of the TSA rules regarding chargers in luggage and have made theirs removable. But that’s not all, Away was determined to create luggage that solved so many travel problems. A sturdy outside shell that bends but never breaks (it comes with a lifetime warranty) TSA approved lock and strong smooth rolling wheels means you’ll practically sail to your gate. Visit their site here.

The different items come with different features. Many include a waterproof laundry bag so you can keep smelly, wet items separate from clean clothes. If you purchase multiple sizes, you can nest them together for easy storage. They are smart functional pieces that have everything you need and nothing you don’t.  They come in beautiful colors and they can even put your initials on it!

Away Luggage partners with Peace Direct a nonprofit that focuses on finding ways to support grassroots peacebuilders in areas of conflict.

Away Luggage is not inexpensive but they will last your entire life and make all your trips so much easier.
