Finding a composition that works for these new slim abstract paintings, each 8" x 48", has not been easy. In two of them, I had the central image starting in dark reds, working toward the edges in lighter colors. This is the second painting I made with the dark reds on the outer edges, working toward light colors in the center. Highlights of white, pale blue, parchment and yellow added interest to draw the eye into the image.
