Forbes Magazine Article: The 10 Best Companies For Women in 2013

Posted on the 14 February 2013 by Shelly Keller @hamptongal

I just finished an interesting article on the Forbes website that was talking about the 10 best companies for women. According to the article, the National Association for Female Executives just released its list of the 50 best companies for women (the Forbes article listed the top 10 from that list). To make the list, the company must have at least 2 women on its board of directors and employ 1,000 employees in the U.S. The NAFE then chooses the companies based on female representation at all levels (the company doesn’t necessarily have to have a female CEO although some of the companies do), employees’ access to, and usage of, programs and policies that promote the advancement of women and the training and accountability of managers in relation to the number of women who advance in the company.
