Fish

Fish should be consumed at least once every week because it contains high proteins. The oil in fish bring that extra nourishment to the human skin which gives it a healthy glow.

Berries

Think of all the berries that you know – strawberry, plum, blackberry, and blueberries. These all have excellent antioxidant properties that can help fight off free radicals which harm your skin. As antioxidants flood your body, these free radicals are flushed out of your system and you end up with a healthy skin inside and out.

Apples

Well, as the cliché goes, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, and we may as well include your skin doctor here. Apples have iron and antioxidants which can powerfully flush out toxins from your system. If you want that extra blush on your cheeks, eat more apples each day.

Avocados

Avocados do not just taste great – they also contain nutrients such as essential oils and Vitamin B complex. They are loaded with niacin which is very important in maintaining a healthy, supple and glowing complexion. Niacin is a known anti inflammatory that soothes irritated skin.

Mangos

These fruits are loaded with vitamin A which can help repair skin cells. Without this vital nutrient, the skin could become flaky and dry. Mangoes contain about 80% of your daily requirement for Vitamin A. It is also an effective antioxidant so you can keep premature aging at bay.

Green Leafy Foods

These are probably the least consumed foods but they are actually the best foods that you can eat to make your skin healthy. So you had better stock up on kale, collards, sprouts, wheatgrass and spinach. These are rich in skin-loving chlorophyll and are also alkaline so they naturally balance out the acids in your body.

A great way to consume chlorophyll-rich foods is to eat many cups of fresh greens each day. Eat them fresh or make them into smoothies then watch how your skin will improve.
