The world famous Tella Shake | $10
I finally caved and hoped onto the bandwagon of trying this "World Famous Tella Shake"! I first saw this drink on Facebook and shortly after my cousin in Canada sent me a picture of this telling me to go and try it. This drink has seriously sent Netizens (the citizens of the Internet) into chaos and has gone viral across the world. Every time I would log into Facebook or Instagram I would see a picture of the Tella Shake at least once and pictures of the long queue.
My brother and I organised to meet my cousin for a long awaited catch up and we discovered that she lives right around the block from Foodcraft Espresso & Bakery. We arrived there around 11am on a Friday morning and there was already a crowd of people waiting for a seat. Luckily, the turnover of customers is quite quick and we only waited for 10 minutes for a seat. We were seated outside, which was quite cold, but the kind staff provided us with blankets.
Foodcraft Espresso & Bakery does sell other things besides the Tella Shake, such as this delicious Salmon and Eggs Benedict (pictured below). The menu has a variety of different dishes to cater for different taste buds, the hardest part was choosing what to eat!

Eggs Benedict | w/ Tasmanian Salmon and poached eggs on brioche bun | $16
The dishes came out really quickly, which was good because we were all very hungry! The portions are also extremely generous and worth the amount that you pay. The eggs were perfectly poached as the yolk was still runny and tripped all over the salmon and brioche. There was a very generous amount of hollandaise sauce and salmon, so by the end you are not just left with a plain bun.

The famous Tella balls aka. the nutella donuts that broke the Internet
So is it worth the hype?
That's the question I've been getting a lot.... and my answer is- the Tella Shake is literally what you think it is, a nutella donut on top of a nutella milkshake. It was definitely very tasty and bad for my health :P but I'm not too sure what the big hype was about. Nonetheless I enjoyed the overall dining experience at Foodcraft Espresso & Bakery- the service was great, the prices were reasonable and the food was delicious, so I'm definitely not complaining!
If you're not dying to try it maybe wait a few months for the hype to die down so you don't have to wait a long time for a seat or I recommend you go on a weekday in the morning. I'm excited for what Foodcraft Espresso & Bakery have to offer next! Good luck :)
Happy eating x
