Five Great Thanksgiving Looks for 2012 Featuring Naya’s Gazelle Boots It’s that time of year again where we gather with friends and family to give thanks…and eat loads of turkey.   Thanksgiving style is typically more casual unless, or course, your gathering is more stuffy than the turkey itself.  If a pulled together casual look will suffice, here are some ideas to consider, all that have been styled with the boots I plan on wearing this Thanksgiving– my new favorite and outrageously comfortable Gazelle boots by Nayain their Banana Bread color.  These are my new favorite boots because not only are they versatile but because they work for my more stylishly casual lifestyle.

Naya also takes a thoughtful approach by making choices that matter. They select environmentally preferred materials, whenever possible, in designing every Naya shoe and brings together relaxed, sophisticated design and exceptional comfort in shoes that leave a softer footprint on the Earth.   If you’re not familiar with Naya, you can check out their website here.

For most, jeans and a sweater will do just fine for Thanksgiving.  However, that can be boring if you don’t accessorize.  I love the way a pair of statement boots, like Naya’s Gazelle boots, add some trendy punch while still keeping the look comfortable.  In addition, some easy accessories in mid-browns pull the look together while still keeping it easy.

A sweater dress is another good-old standby for Thanksgiving.   Knit dresses are also great as you load your second helping of turkey into your gob.  Yet, knit dresses don’t have to be shapeless, which is why I love this one.  It’s easy and forgiving but still shows off your figure.  In addition, my favorite Gazelle boots adds a dressy casual touch to the look.  And, remember, you don’t have to match your shoes to your handbag.  Oxblood and Honey Gold are two very trendy colors this fall, and harmonize beautifully when worn together.

Ponchos are great to wear to-and-from your Thanksgiving festivities, but are not exactly feast friendly (Remove upon arrival to your destination).   This gray poncho is such a beautiful complement to the wine sweater, and when paired with a pair of skinny corduroys in dark gray create an elegant, yet comfy, Thanksgiving look.  Instead of black, go for the more rugged Naya Gazelle boot in their brown Banana Bread shade to soften the look.

For you black die-hards out there, you’ll be happy to know that Naya does sell my favorite Gazelle boot in black.  Monochromatic looks are very slimming.  An easy way to feel comfortable while looking thin this Thanksgiving is to choose a black column look, with a pop cardigan layered over.  Here, I brought in camel to cut the starkness of the black base.

Thanksgiving is a time that we think of autumnal in rich natural hues.  The Naya Gazelle boot works perfectly into that palette and would look great with a corduroy skirt, a pair of brown opaque tights and a burnt orange sweater.
