This is definitely a season for great Android phones – and there are some truly exciting devices that we can expect this autumn. Here is the list of 5 Android smartphones, but remember:  the year is not over yet, and perhaps we might see some more great devices in the days to come.

1) LG Nexus

New LG Nexus?

Even though this phone has not yet been officially announced, the rumours have already started circulating on the Internet. Nevertheless, we can expect the device to be launched soon – a new version of the Galaxy Nexus, with a better screen, better camera, and sleek, modern design. The new Nexus will naturally run on the latest version of Google Android. Accordingly, it will have a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, a 1280×768 True-HD IPS display features of unknown size and an 8-megapixel camera. The battery is not replaceable, there is no microSD slot, and the internal memory is only the choice between an 8GB and a 16GB version.

2) LG Optimus G

We have already written about this smartphone (read our review of the LG Optimus G). The phone is really amazing with lots of new details and features – and while Samsung and Nexus phones dominate the smartphone market, we believe that this LG phone also has a lot to offer. There is a amazing 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor – the Snapdragon S4 Pro Qualcomm – onboard, along witg2 GB of RAM, which makes this device really powerful. The 4.7-inch True HD IPS display comes with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. More great features include 13-megapixel camera, LTE, NFC and a 2100 mAh powerful battery.

3) Samsung Galaxy Note 2

The successor of the original Samsung Galaxy Note, this smartphone is finally ready for the smartphone market. The large phone / tablet / phablet with stylus concept has to offer a lot of interesting hardware features. The already huge Galaxy Note has grown, it now measures 5.5” instead of 5.3 inch touch screen display. What distinguishes this phone from any other smartphones is its stylus. Samsung calls it “S Pen” and promises to recognize 1024 different pressure levels.

For all of you who consider 4.8 inches too small, Samsung has this device made specifically for you. The Note 2 offers impressive 5.5 inches, making it almost a tablet. The giant smartphone offers technical data dream: 5.5 inch, 1280 x 720 pixels, 8 megapixel, quad-core processor with 1.6 GHz, 180 grams.

4) Motorola Droid Razr HD and HD Razr Maxx

The new line of Motorola Razr phones will attract attention of users. Razr HD and Razr Maxx HD will be launched soon, and with their build quality, durability and long battery life, they will surely be a good option for the Android lovers. Whatever the case, these are top-of-the-line phones, with 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD 720p displays, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processors, and an 8-megapixel camera that captures 1080p video. Not to mention a super thin Kevlar fiber casing.

And to top that off, Motorola promises great battery life, which is a struggle for all of us. The Droid Razr HD and Maxx HD have 2530 mAH and 3300 mAH batteries respectively, promising something like 16 and 21 hours of straight usage.

5) HTC One X +

 HTC One X Plus

HTC One X Plus

HTC One X is one of the best Android phones on the market, along with the Samsung Galaxy S3. The HTC One X + has a more powerful processor, additional storage, and a larger battery added to the device. HTC One X Plus will be running the latest Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean and HTC Sense will offer additional functions in customized versions.

The 4.7 inches wide LCD2 display of the HTC One X + dissolves with 1280×720 pixels (HD). Gorilla Glass 2 protects from scratches. HTC promises an increase in sharpness and clarity and a reduction of reflections. But even the display of previous HTC One X was really convincing. Just like the original One X, the One X+ measures 134.4 x70x8, 9 mm. With the huge 2,100-mAh battery, which should bring about a third time more usage, the One X + weighs 135 grams.
