Fitness Friday: Taking a Break

Between work stress, sleeping horribly and dealing with horrible summer allergies I just haven’t felt like myself this week. I got a few workouts in but skipped Thursday and this morning because I just could not get out of bed! I averaged about 4 hours of sleep each night and it is catching up.

I did try a new program this week too: Cize. I love Shaun T and this program is no exception. It is all about dance and he walks you through all the moves. In the 45 minute workout I burn 300+ calories. Having danced when I was younger I thought the moves were easy to understand and within a few attempts I could do them. It’s a really fun workout!


Fitness Friday: Taking a Break

Sunday: Cardio and weights as soon as I got home from Omaha. Way too many hours in the car!

Monday: Cize and Weights

Tuesday: Off

Wednesday: Cardio and Weights and it was leg day. I am still feeling it in my quads and hamstrings

Thursday: Off

Friday: Off. I had every intention of going to the gym but with very little sleep, a stormy night and scared animals I opted for an extra hour and a half of sleep. While it was restless at least I got a few extra minutes.

Saturday: Cardio and Weights before heading to a birthday party and a wine party later that evening

Along with Cize I have been checking out a few other programs, Home Workout Revolution (HWR),  Turbulence Training (TT), Bikini Body Guide (BBG) and continuing with Lift Weights Faster (LWF). With more and more time constraints I’ve been doing workouts at home. I can do Cize, the tabata style workouts from HWR, weights with TT, BBG or LWF. And since I have extreme workout ADD switching up workouts keeps me interested! Any of the programs are great for at home or in the gym too. I modify as needed if I don’t have a piece of equipment but for the most part I can do everything. And when I do have time to get to the gym I can keep going with my program.

Hopefully I get a chance to catch up on sleep this weekend and get back to my normal schedule next week!
