Read somewhere about the European philosopher and spiritual master Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov. He was captivated by the mysteries of fire and water as described in the book ‘Mysteries of Fire and water’. Aivanhov viewed these elements as the most beautiful, potent and significant expressions that nature has to offer of the two great cosmic principles, the masculine and feminine. Complementary and opposite. Aivanhov described fire and water as being so full of meaning that you could spend your whole life meditating on them.
The story starts in March 1841, when the narrator travels to Corsica and stays at the home of the widow Savilia de Franchi who lives near Olmeto and Sollacaro. She is the mother of formerly conjoined twins Louis and Lucien. Louis is a lawyer in Paris, while Lucien clings to his Corsican roots and stays at his mother's home. The Corsican Brothers is a novel by Alexandre Dumas first published in 1844. It is the story of two conjoined brothers who, although separated at birth, can still feel each other's physical distress. It has been adapted many times on the stage and in film.
Gora Aur Kala ( The fair and the dark) produced by Rajkumar Kohli and directed by Naresh Kumar, starring Rajendra Kumar in a double role, Hema Malini, Rekha, Premnath, Prem Chopra, Madan Puri and Jagdeep was releasedin 1972. The film's music was by Laxmikant–Pyarelal. The movie was a remake of the 1971 Tamil movie.
The story is about twin princes Manivannan and Karikalan who seek to avenge their father's death at hands of King Marthandan. The twins are separated. But Karikalan can feel whatever feelings Manivannan is in. Karikalan wanted to avenge those people who have set fire to his castle. One of them is brought up by Arunakiri while the other is brought up by Marudhu. One is educated preferring to use brains over brawns while the other is an adept fighter. They both plan and execute the downfall of Marthandan.
நீரும் நெருப்பும் - பி. நீலகண்டன் இயக்கத்தில் 1971ல் வெளிவந்த தமிழ்த் திரைப்படம். எம். ஜி. ஆர், ஜெயலலிதா மற்றும் பலரும் நடித்திருந்தனர். தந்தையை கொன்ற மார்த்தாண்டனை பழிவாங்கும் இரட்டை இளவரசர்களான மணிவண்ணன், கரிகாலன் ஆகியோர் பற்றிய கதை இது. இந்த படம் அவ்வளவு சிறப்பாக ஓடவில்லையாம். ஒரு எம்.ஜி.ஆர் வலது கையாலும் இன்னொருவர் இடது கையாலும் வாளைச் சுழற்றி போட்ட சண்டைகள் அதிகம் ரசிக்கப்பட்டன. எம்.ஜி.ஆர் நடித்த கரிகாலன் கதாபாத்திரத்தையும் ஒரு எம்.ஜி.ஆர் படத்தில் இறப்பதையும் ரசிகர்கள் ஏற்கவில்லை என்று அப்போது பேசப்பட்டது.
