What did you do in 2014 that you’d never done before?
I presented a paper that I wrote (alongside some amazing classmates) for a communication conference in Rhode Island. It was an AMAZING experience that gave me the extra confidence I needed in order to apply for graduate school!

Did you keep your new years’ resolutions?
Lol, I don’t recall even making one. I never have found them to be that big of a deal. Maybe I will start this year.

Will you make more for next year?
I think I will actually make a resolution this year (and stick with it).

Did anyone close to you give birth?
No. However, my Auntie is pregnant and due in January! Hurry up, Baby Nick!

Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully, no. A wonderful classmate from Stevenson recently passed, unfortunately, though. She was truly a wonderful person. RIP Shannon.

What countries did you visit?
I stayed in the good ol’ U.S. of A!

What would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014?
Mo’ Money! Lol, just kidding. Well not really. But, I guess I wouldn’t mind having more opportunities to travel!

What date from 2014 will remain etched upon your memory?
Oh boy this one is tough. So many amazing things happened this year. I want to say Graduation Day from Steve.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Graduating with a B.S. in Business Communication, then four months later, being accepted into graduate school at American University! Yay!

What was your biggest failure?
I think allowing myself to believe I wasn’t good enough in certain situations. I should always remain confident in order to achieve goals.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
Aside from basic colds and such, I was quite lucky and did not suffer from anything major.

What was the best thing you bought?
My Go Pro!

Whose behavior merited celebration?
Ryan & Kelly got married!! Yay!!
Scott & Kara also got married… Yay!
Jenny & Josh got married, too! More yay!
My friends and I graduated college!
I am sure there are more, but those are some of my favorites from 2014.

Where did most of your money go?
Groceries, bills, Christmas presents.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My brother’s wedding and being accepted into graduate school!

What song will always remind you of 2014?
“Turn Down For What” — Lil’ John

Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder?
Happier
Thinner or fatter?
Thinner
Richer or poorer?
Richer in fortune, faith, knowledge, and love!

What do you wish you’d done more of?
Traveling!

What do you wish you’d done less of?
Visiting WebMD and procrastinating!

How will you be spending Christmas?
In 2015, I assume I will be spending Christmas with family. This year I spent Christmas with family and friends. It was wonderful.

Did you fall in love in 2014?
Not exactly.

How many one-night stands?
Lol I don’t kiss and tell. ;)

Who were your best friends?
Mommy, Tori, Emily, Kelly, Ryan, Daddy!

What thing did you do that was meaningful to others?
I helped my Aunt to create a long slideshow for my cousin’s wedding. I think she appreciated the help! :)

What were your favorite TV programs?
Sex & The City, Big Bang Theory, New Girl, Seinfeld, Family Guy, Friends, Game of Thrones, Glee, and many more!

Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I do not “hate” really any person in my life. There are people I strongly dislike. However, this year, I do not feel that way about a person. it is a waste of energy.

What was the best book you read in 2014?
Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
I discovered A LOT of great music this year. One song that sticks with me for some reason is Home by Ingrid Michaelson. Her music overall, though, is awesome.

What did you want and get?
I wanted a new car, and I got it! I’m still paying for it though, darn it.

What did you want but did NOT get?
A new cell phone. Mine broke recently and I am stuck with an older one that is totally slowing me down.

What were your favorite films this year?
Mocking Jay was my favorite overall, I believe. There are others, but that one was amazing.

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Um, I don’t really remember if I did anything on my birthday that was memorable (clearly). I turned 22. I may have gone out to the bars, but it wasn’t as memorable as my 21st.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Nothing. It was perfect in every single way. The good, the bad, the ugly… it all has helped me to grow. I am ready for 2015, though.

What kept you sane?
Faith, family, friends, and exercise.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Uh, this list will be long. I will say Tom Hardy and Ryan Kerrigan!

What political issue stirred you the most?
I don’t even want to get into this. I am trying to enjoy the last hours of this year.

Who do you miss?
I miss my grandma and grandpa a lot! Wish they could have seen Ryan & Kelly get married! Also my cousin Beave. He would have loved Scott & Kara’s wedding.

Who are the best new persons you met this year?
I don’t even know who I met this year that is new? Hahaha. Is that weird?

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2014.
Don’t rush into something you aren’t 120% sure of.

Quote that sums up your year:
Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.
