Fewer Americans Now Believe Trump Keeps His Promises

Fewer Americans Now Believe Trump Keeps His Promises
The charts on this page were made from information in a new Gallup Poll -- done done between April 5th and 9th of a random national sample of 1,019 adults, with a 4 point margin of error. It shows that Trump has damaged his own reputation since shortly after being sworn in as president.
Between February 1st and 5th, about 62% of Americans believed Donald Trump kept his promises -- but several broken promises later, now only 45% say that. And the number saying he keeps his promises has dropped in every group -- even the groups that support him.
And it's not just the keeping of his promises that has suffered by public perception. As the bottom chart shows, fewer people now think Trump is a strong leader, will bring needed change to the country, is honest and trustworthy, cares about people like them, or can manage the government efficiently.
Trump has damaged his own brand with the American public. I expect that to continue.
