Fashion Questions / First Post....woop!

Fashion Questions / First post....woop! I am not going to lie; I am very nervous! First posts are daunting, I mean, I want to make a good first impression and all that malarkey.
So, I have decided to play it safe and answer a few 'fashion questions' which gives me a chance to introduce you, gorgeous reader, to myself and my fashion habits. These are questions that I have picked and made up because I think they are bound to be some of the most asked questions throughout the fashion scene.
Sounds good? Ok, here we go...
1.) What do you always have on?
- I always wear my watch which was given to me one Christmas. It's from ASOS and I love it because the actual watch face is slightly tilted, which makes it look a bit more unique. Plus, it just seems to go with everything due to the fact that the strap is brown, and you can't deny that it's super handy! It is a bit warn, but that just adds to the look I think.

- Labelling myself with one style is not going to work! It fluctuates so much, as I think it is allowed to do. It keeps everything interesting. I must admit though, I am not high maintenance AT ALL and my image is very mood based. It is interesting to see what is currently in fashion though, and sometimes I try and put my own twist on a trend, but I'm not the person to be going out every season and stocking up on all the latest trends....who actually does that by the way? If you are reading this and fall under that category....I raise my imaginary Louboutin up to the sky for you, you dedicated individual.
3.)  Who is your fashion role model?  - IRIS APFEL. I love her. Simple as that. Her dress sense is just crazy! But that is what makes her amazing. What's more amazing is that this chick is 91. She wears what she wants regardless of what anyone may think, which is a very good moral to go by. Iris sets the perfect example that when it comes to style, age is definitely irrelevant, which makes her an amazing role model; not to mention icon! Her amazing collaborations of colours and textures is one of her best known features.

- I adore most (if not all) of Charlotte Olympia's shoes, the designs are so unique and fun.Fashion Questions / First post....woop!Fashion Questions / First post....woop! images above taken from www.charlotteolympia.com - Stella McCartney. I love laid-back looks, which is what I think Stella seems to do very well. From the cut of her pieces to the actual cat-walk looks she captures a relaxed look, that still is carefully considered and thought of with great care. Fashion Questions / First post....woop!image above taken from www.stellamccartney.com- Dolce and Gabbana. I love their prints, fabrics, over-all image...just everything!   Fashion Questions / First post....woop! image taken from www.dolceandgabbana.com - for Haute Couture, Elie Saab and Alexander McQueen rule hands down.  Fashion Questions / First post....woop!

What are your favorite materials/components?  - I hoard ALOT of these, so I have had time to develop this answer. I guess I am always drawn to something that has lace; it's just THE symbol of feminism! I love lots of intricate beading and embellishment too.  Pieces that involve light fabrics like georgette and chiffon are always appreciated because they are an absolute bugger to work with! So you have to respect that! I also love the look of silk shantung too. You can't beat a good quality cotton either.   here is a selection of the lace that I have ...Fashion Questions / First post....woop!   6.) Do you have an obsession with a particular item?
-....yes. Slogan t-shirts. I have loads....here's just some of them!

6.) What is your most treasured item?
- It has got to be my prom dress. Nowadays, it sits in its box inside my wardrobe, which is quite sad, but that is where it's safest! It is my mission to wear this dress again somewhere...

7.)  What is your favourite shop?
-If we are talking in terms of the high street,  Zara, is definitely my top store. They sell some very reasonably priced items that are on trend and wearable. Some of their items are more expensive, but you can clearly tell you are paying more for quality....unlike Top Shop.

On the internet, it has got to be ASOS.  I have bought a lot of items from their own collection and have loved and worn everything a number of times! Plus, it's free delivery... which is just amazing in itself. I have only recently started to do online shopping, because like a lot of other people, I preferred to try my clothes on and actually feel the material. But, so far, I have been nothing but pleased with ASOS.

Which is good if you're wanting to find a more unique piece.  8.) What was your worst fashion moment?
I wouldn't call this fashion, but it was still pretty horrific. In about year 8, my P.E class performed the 'Thriller' dance by Michael Jackson. Our teacher told us to wear scary things for the final performance. So everyone just wore ripped shirts, skirts, messy hair, red lipstick as blood and all that kind of stuff. But me, being me, went and bought a full-on Halloween costume. It was black and had flames going up the front. It also had a mesh layer over the back of the skirt - like a cape- that I put OVER MY HEAD, because I thought I would look more scary. The worst part is that I did not take any shame in this at all, as I danced around pretending to be a zombie, when really, I looked like I had just escaped from the home for the mad.   I am so ashamed.
I guess that wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be, I hoped you enjoyed reading it!
