Fashion for Frosty Mornings: Knitted Dresses & Snuggly Tights

By Cassiefairy @Cassiefairy

And I should know – as yesterday we had the first frost of the year when I woke up in the morning. Now, there are two ways of tackling this problem: 1. Stay in bed until the sun has risen higher and has warmed up the world enough that the frost has melted. or 2. Wrap up warm and stay stylish with chunky knits.

As staying in bed isn’t always an option, so over the coming weeks I’ll be blogging about the top trends in knitwear that I’ll be following this winter. And here’s the first:

Fashion for frosty mornings: Knitted dresses & snuggly tights

Warm up your workwear with a knitted dress such as these above from the Philip Lim and Charlotte Ronson Autumn/Winter catwalk shows. Try out these lookey-likeys from H&M available in 4 colourways for only £19.99 which will be great for next spring/summer season too and add this Matalan pointelle cowl-neck dress to your winter wardrobe for only £16, what a bargain!

Do you already have a knitted dress or long-line jumper in your wardrobe that you could use to create this look? I’ve already dug out some of my gray & black knitted dresses from last year and will be giving them a new lease of life with autumnal coloured tights similar to those seen on the Charlotte Ronson catwalk show (above) and I’m totally coveting these tights in various shades of burgundy-wine from BHS which will update my look for this year.
