Fashion Disaster SOS.

Fashion Disaster SOS.
Today, being a Monday, was as you can expect a very unproductive day, so I have to pull a 'sorry' card for such a pathetic post. However, I hope you find some of these tips on fashion disasters will come in handy.
  • Red wine on white cotton - Ask the barman for a glass of soda water. Then when it comes dip a napkin into the water and gently dap onto the stain. The reaction between applying the water and the wine will lift the stain nicely until you can get home and change.
  • Laddered tights - A bit of a classic really. Grab a clear nail varnish/top coat and apply a swipe over the bottom and top of the tear. This stops the ladder from running further up/down your leg.
  • Snapped handbag strap - Another well known strategy, rescue the strap by knotting the handle back onto your bag until your able to restitch the strap. If the bag is unsalvageable, cut off the other handle and you now have a clutch.
  • Chewing gum stain - Get a knife and scrape as much gum off as you can. Then place a ice cube on top of the mark and leave for a few minutes. The ice should have frozen the gum making it easier to get off.
  • Stubborn zips - If a zip is becoming stuck and won't budge, run a lead pencil along the teeth of the zip. Allowing the -what we shall now call the 'draggy thing'- to loosen up.
