Far Cry 4 Co-Op Limited to Open World Sections
Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4 will support a co-operative mechanic, one that was hyped up decently when the developer revealed Keys to Kyrat for the PS4. This enabled your PSN friends to play the game with you in up to ten sessions of two hours each without them owning the games themselves.
In conversation with Trusted Reviews, senior level designer Vincent Ouellette clarified exactly how the co-op worked. “[Keys to Kyrat] is for a limited time. You get two hours to play the game, but that can be broken down to different sections.
“The co-op is limited to the open world portions of the game. So your friend invites you in and you can do as much stuff as you want in two hours – go as far as you can.”
Ouellette further explained that, “As soon as you have a friend jump into your game, the story is not told by the game anymore. It’s the story that you make up with your friends. A game like Far Cry has so many toys and gadgets and that huge open world that you can just cause chaos in and do all those crazy things inside that. So it’ll be great to have a friend to come and f**k things up with you.”
