Falling In Love with L'Oreal Make Up.
Falling In Love with L'Oreal Make Up.I have tried and liked the odd product here and there from L'Oreal, I think their True Match Foundation is amazing, as well as their liquid liners and eyebrow pencils but I have never branched out further than that until recently when I picked up a few items.
First up is the newest release from the brand, the Mega Volume Miss Manga Punky Mascara. (£5.99) This is a mascara that is meant to give a spiky, punk look to your lashes due to the shape of the brush.
My lashes don't look like they do in the promotional picture after using this but the Miss Manga mascara definitely adds a lot of volume. This gives great dramatic lashes but I would stear clear if you are not keen on slightly clumpy looking lashes as after one or two layers this can stick your eyelashes together a bit. I can see this being a great mascara to pair with a smokey eye for me though as I love that kind of look.
You probably have read lots of reviews on the Colour Riche La Palette Nude (£14.99) which is L'oreal's take on a nude/neutral palette. (Everyone seems to be jumping on the nude eyeshadow bandwagon)
La Palette Nude leans more to the rose side of neutral eye shadows with the lighter shades being more warm pink and then the darker shades being more purple.
I have to admit these are not the most pigmented eye shadows out there, you can get better palettes for your money but there is something about this palette I like.
All the shadows work well together, they blend beautifully and last well on the lid. It is really compact with a decent size mirror in it so perfect for traveling. It might not be the best palette I own but it is one I can't help but love.
Lastly I wanted to talk about the gorgeous Colour Riche Nude Lipstick in Barely Peach by Julianne (£6.99) which is from a line of exclusive nude lipsticks all inspired by celebrities.
This is a everyday pink nude shade that is slightly lighter than my lips, it is well pigmented and glides on beautifully.
I think its hard to find a good, pigmented nude shade on the high street so I was pleased to discover this. I do wish L'oreal wouldn't make there lipsticks so strongly scented though, they smell like palma violets. (Yuk) Luckily once applied I can't smell it.
I have been loving products from the High Street recently and L'oreal seem to be hitting the spot, I think their products feel more luxe but still at a lower end price point.
Have you tried any of these? Is their anything else I should try from L'oreal?
