Fabulous Honeymoon Pools

By Thehoneymoonproject @thehoneymoonpro

This welcome hot weather we’ve been having here in London this week has left me longing to be by the side of a pool – or, even better, in a pool. With that in mind, I thought I’d pick out just a few of my favorite hotel pools around the world, all of which are fantastic honeymoon choices.

Fabulous honeymoon pools

The Scarlet, Cornwall This clifftop hotel  has two fantastic pools: a heated one, inside. with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides looking out at the Atlantic; and a beautifully landscaped, outdoor, freshwater one. Add to that wood-fired hot tubs, a gourmet restaurant, and breathtaking sea views throughout, and you’ve got an amazing British honeymoon destination. You can read my review here. From £175 a night.

Sasakwa Lodge, Tanzania Imagine swimming in your hotel pool, and looking out at the Serengeti at the same time – pretty amazing, no? The Great Migration passes through here annually, so choose the right time of year and you could be watching millions of wildebeest trekking across the plains. The lodge has a sumptuous, traditional safari feel, and rates include all meals and game drives. From £768 per person per night.

Naumi, Singapore This is one of those pool views that had me sold on the hotel before I’d even seen the rooms (but thankfully the rooms are pretty gorgeous, too). Looking out onto downtown Singapore, the infinity pool would be a great spot throughout the day, but especially so at night when you can watch the city’s lights twinkling to the dark (and over a cold drink, too). From £191 a night.

Palazzo Margherita, Italy Hidden away among a lush, walled garden, Palazzo Margherita bills its pool as a “quintessential Roman experience” – and although the hotel is in a town, you’ll feel very tucked away here. Francis Ford Coppola’s newest hotel – located in the Coppola family’s Italian hometown – is set in a beautiful nineteenth-century palazzo, and provides utterly gorgeous, luxurious accommodation. From £300 a night.
