Model turned actor Ju Ji Hoon's acting breakthrough came with a charismatic performance as crown prince Lee Shin in Princess Hours (Goong) based on the Manhwa that imagined South Korea as a fictional monarchy. While he proved that he had the talent to go along with those handsome looks, Ji Hoon's career and personal life had some ups and downs and following his mandatory military service, he made a steady comeback which has resulted in a recent resurgence with the success of the action thriller Asura: The City of Madness and the two part fantasy Along With the Gods which sounds fascinating. He is also slated to star in Netflix's upcoming zombie period drama, Kingdom in the role of a crown prince (again!) who sets out to investigate a mysterious plague. I believe that role was originally offered to Song Joong Ki who declined because he had just gotten married at the time. I just looked up Goong because it feels like an age since I watched it and that drama came out in 2006. I had such a crush on Ji Hoon after Princess Hours and Antique Bakery but then he kind of fell off my radar. It's evident from this Harper's Bazaar editorial entitled Elegant Decadence that the 36 year old actor is still as attractive as ever in the physical sense and he's still got those model moves. I love the image where he appears to be peering into a room.
