Expect Labs at CMU: A Tech Talk on Conversational & Anticipatory Search

How is contextual computing shaping the future of conversations? Hear Dr. Marsal Gavaldà, a proud CMU alum and speech and language technologies expert, shed some light on exciting breakthroughs in anticipatory search and context awareness. The tech talk will take place on Thursday, October 10th at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Computer Science.

Gavaldà will share his expertise in building the world’s first anticipatory computing engine that understands real-time conversations to proactively deliver real-time results. Attendees will glean insights into how an anticipatory search platform works, and will also learn tips and tricks about the infrastructure and architecture needed to support these kinds of technologies. New techniques in natural language understanding will also be addressed, in addition to the pivotal ways NLU, speech recognition, information retrieval, and machine learning are being used to power these groundbreaking platforms.
