Ex Soviet Leader Gorbachev Issues Another WW3 Warning, Blames
Ex-Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev, credited as "one of the architects of the peaceful dismantling of communist rule in eastern Europe," is again warning the world that the "west" has "dragged" Russia into a new cold war and issuing another dire projected outcome of the rising tensions between the west, led by the US, and Russia, stating ""I can no longer say that this Cold War will not lead to a 'Hot War.' I fear that they could risk it."
Gorbachev's comments came Thursday to the Interfax News Agency and reiterates warnings he gave two weeks ago when he said the Ukraine crisis could very well lead to nuclear war.
Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev is warning that if the Ukraine crisis transforms into World War 3, then it may be unavoidable that Vladimir Putin may launch a Russian nuclear war.
Gorbachev's assertion that Russia was dragged into the new cold war stems from reports back in March 2014, where "US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe, Victoria Nuland, had in her infamous telephone conversation with the US Ambassador to Ukraine admitted that her country had spent 5 billion US dollars promoting anti-Russian groups in Ukraine," in order to oust the duly elected president of Ukraine to replace him with a puppet for the west, forcing Russia's president Vladimir Putin to step in to protect Russians in Crimea, to which NATO and the west called "aggressive" actions and started placing sanctions on Russia.
With Russia now warning "unlimited response" to further sanctions, specifically the threat of SWIFT sanctions, many believe further escalation could very well lead to World War III, which would undoubtedly be a nuclear war.
