I love that old classic song “Smiling Faces Sometimes Tell Lies” by The Undisputed Truth.
It is an age old story. One I was well aware of early on in life.
Some people get excited and want to share good news with close friends or family.
However, everyone cannot be trusted. Not even so-called close friends or certain family members.
Everyone is not always going to be happy for someone else especially if or when things are not going well for them or as planned.
Some prefer to hear bad news. They want others to share in their misfortune or disappointment. Some feel bad or insecure at another person’s favorable situation if they are not experiencing the same.
Thank goodness there are people who are not this way and who are happy for others whether or not things are looking bright for them within the moment.
I was never one to tell my business. I let people think what they want to think. Often when people draw rash conclusions, they come up with all sort of things other than what is the actual truth.
Of, course, some of us are lucky enough to find or to be surrounded by those we are able to trust.
Even so, I never tell everything.
Some things are just between me and God. He is always happy for us and has our best interest.
