Euro 2024 Match Schedule: Full Schedule, TV Channel, Results and Group Tables After Play-off Winners Confirmed

By Elliefrost @adikt_blog

The big kick-off for Euro 2024 is not far away.

The completion of the play-offs tonight will leave the final three teams qualifying for this summer's tournament in Germany, which starts on June 14 with the home team's opening match and culminates in the Berlin final exactly a month later.

The field is also wide open. Germany, despite having home advantage, have not been in good form against defending champions Italy since winning the trophy at Wembley three years ago after missing out on the World Cup.

France is expected to be a major force again, led by Kylian Mbappé, while Spain, Portugal, Croatia and the Netherlands can never be left out at this level.

Of course, Gareth Southgate's England will be among the favourites, having come through qualifying and looking like serious contenders at the last three major tournaments. Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane and Co are all at the top of their game as the Three Lions look to end their 58-year wait for silverware.

One or two dark horses often appear in the euro. Perhaps Turkey, Scotland and Hungary are best placed to upset the odds this summer.

The Euro 2024 play-offs completed the line-up for the tournament, with Georgia booking a ticket for the first time after beating Greece on penalties. Ukraine made a comeback against Iceland, while Wales faced Poland in the other final.

Once again, the tournament will be split into six groups of four with 24 teams. The top two from each group automatically qualify for the last 16 and the four top-ranked, third-placed finishers join them.
