End to a Legend

I LOVE baseball. It's probably my favorite sport to watch. I have had the same favorite team since middle school. I have had the same favorite player since then too. I even call him my baseball husband. This year he decided to retire after playing in the majors for 19 years. If you haven't guess yet, my favorite player is Chipper Jones. By the way, his real name is Larry Wayne Jones, Jr. He is named Chipper because he is like his dad. You know the saying, chip off the old block.
    Chipper announced at spring training that this would be his last season and that he would be retiring. (Insert sad face) This year some MLB teams did special things to honor Chipper in his last season. Some teams gave him the 3rd base of the diamond since he is a 3rd baseman. Milwaukee Brewers got him a grill and a year supply of brats. San Diego gave him a surf board. The Braves also had a pre game ceremony before their last home stand of the regular season.
