After Labor Day weekend 2nd Green Revolution, LLC signed a contract to provide consulting services with El Camino Real Charter High School (ECRCHS) in Woodland Hills, CA. My goal all along has been to work with schools as they become more sustainable. It is with great pride and unbridled excitement that we enter this venture with ECRCHS.

With the guidance of a dedicated group of administrators and help from members of the science faculty, we identified six projects as part of this work, with a number of additional goals. Here are the six projects:

  1. Integrating sustainability into curriculum via the Humanitas program.

  2. Developing green jobs training program through the Alternative Education program.

  3. Forming core sustainability committee, advisory committee, and creation of sustainability coordinator position.

  4. Renovating future site of Alternative Education campus.

  5. Creating and developing branding for the Client around their work in the area of sustainability.

  6. Planning and construction of new science building and STEM projects.

Over the next three years, ECRCHS and 2nd Green Revolution will work together to integrate sustainable practices and curriculum into the very essence of the school. ECRCHS already has a strong academic program and buy-in from vast swaths of faculty and staff. Including students, parents, and the larger community in the process of building a sustainable school will be vital as we move forward. We encourage you to follow our progress and to engage with us on this journey.
