Dr. Abdul Malik, the National Party president, on Saturday elected as Balochistan chief minister unopposed, as no other candidate submitted nomination papers by the deadline set at 2.00 P.M.
However, his victory will be officially announced tomorrow (Sunday) after which he will take the oath of his office at Governor’s House
The process of receiving and submitting the nomination papers started at 10:00 A.M which continued till 2:00 A.M. In this time no other candidate except National Party president submitted the nomination papers.
