The Paris climate deal will have legal force once it is ratified by 55 countries that contribute 55% of global emissions. If Theresa May can get the UK to ratify fast, other countries would soon follow and together, we could stop the likes of Donald Trump. There's reason to be worried closer to home too. A group of climate change deniers calling themselves Clexit (climate exit) has just formed in an effort to withdraw the UK and other countries from the Paris Agreement [2]. Members of Clexit are heavily involved in tobacco and fossil fuel funded organisations. They deny facts and sound scientific evidence in favour of myths and misinformation propagated by fake experts [3]. A Clexit victory would be a disaster for all of us. We can't allow decades of progress to unravel because of the interests of a tiny minority. This isn't a fight we can sit out.

Donald Trump Vs Theresa May [Petition]

The following is the email I've received today from Greenpeace...
It looks like Donald Trump and co have a rather dangerous agenda regarding Climate Change and the Paris Climate Deal. But, if enough of us sign the petition, they might not succeed after all.
Definitely worth adding our names to it.
Keep up the good fight...

Donald Trump Vs Theresa May [Petition]

The Email:
Hi Loup,
Donald Trump has said he would cancel the Paris climate deal if he becomes President of the United States [1]. Cancelling the Paris climate deal would be catastrophic for every single person on this planet, and Donald Trump knows it.
Having no Paris climate deal would delay vital action on climate change, which would put our planet and the people who call it home in even more danger.
As our Prime Minister, Theresa May has the power to stop such a nightmare becoming a reality. Urge her to lead the way to securing action on climate change.

The Paris climate deal will have legal force once it is ratified by 55 countries that contribute 55% of global emissions. If Theresa May can get the UK to ratify fast, other countries would soon follow and together, After years of painstaking negotiations the world came together to create the Paris Agreement. It's far from perfect, but critically, the Paris Agreement recognises that we all need to do much more to halt global temperature rises, and take action immediately. we could stop the likes of Donald Trump.
Parliament comes back from its summer holiday next week. If enough of us sign the petition Theresa May will have a solid reason to take swift and decisive action for us all.
There's reason to be worried closer to home too. A group of climate change deniers calling themselves Clexit (climate exit) has just formed in an effort to withdraw the UK and other countries from the Paris Agreement [2].
Thanks for all that you do,
