Don’t Be a Prick

By Winyeemichelle
In which I dress as an athleisure-kitted marshmallow to attend the annual Girl Gang Indoor picnic.
Some days require extreme volume and devil-may-care outfits and Sunday was just that. Eye-wateringly cold, I bundled up in one of my favorite downtime outfits and headed to spend my afternoon with some of my best girls. This sweatshirt was an absolute bargain that I picked up in Hong Kong. It was something insane like $72 (around £7) from my favorite Korean boutique and it’s made from fleece-lined jersey with this cute mismatched hem. It basically makes me look like a bubble on the top but I’m kinda okay with that in exchange for Unlimited Warmth.
Paired with my faithful Topshop Jamie jeans, this is the sort of garb I wear at weekends with trusty kicks to get shit done. And what better weekend than that of the Women’s March? I can’t even begin to describe how proud I am to be a woman and to see so many of us fiercely, continually fly the flag for our rights, to fight against the new way in the US. Some may say it’s unnecessary to be so open and vocal but remember that it was only 100 years ago that we won the ‘right’ to vote, that even today we suffer significant losses because of our sex alone, that only yesterday the T-bag himself overturned an anti-abortion policy that can negatively impact and alter the path for thousands of women daily.
In true f-you-Trump style, don’t be a prick. Anyway! These trainers are a new addition from Nike. The LunarCharge is one of their newest styles and combines some of their most-loved lines and I adore them. The panelled upper, slip-on style… All. So. Good. They're an exclusive to JD Women and I was kindly sent a pair to celebrate their launch this month! The toe panel is breathable making them great for workouts (I don't think I could run in these, FYI, because the upper is all-in-one and doesn't allow my foot to arch correctly), although it also makes them SO cold to wear right now.
How do you style trainers for everyday?

'Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.'
