Posted on the 08 June 2015 by Worldwide @thedomains

Domain Movers is a very interesting series that is exclusively on TheDomains.com that features recently acquired, registered and simply domains on the move by some of the largest companies in the world.

These are often very early detections and many lead into new brands, services, advertising campaigns and much more.

Here we go with the latest domain movers:

Microsoft has registered the domain names GetASmartStart.com / .net as well as AzureAppServices.com /.net . Several acronym type domains like CproAlgerie.com/.net and Fnsmis.com /.net.

Google Inc. registered the domain names DynamicVirtualAudio.com and DynamicVirtualSurround.com . They continued with GoogleDynamicVirtualSurround.com, GooglePlay4Families.com, GooglePlayForFamilies.com, GoogleSpoltlightStoriesDVS.com and SpotlightStoriesDVS.com.

GlaxoSmithKline PLC and Novartis struck a deal for Novartis’s global vaccines business and a bunch of domains  have transferred to GSK from Novartis. There were actually a couple that went the other way also… from GSK to Novartis like HerMove.com and Mekatrus.com and Mekinist.com for an example. The vast majority (Hundreds) went from Novartis AG to GlaxoSmithKline Biogicals S. A.

Amazon Technologies Inc. is making a play on the term “Nic” with the domain names NicAuthor.com, NicCall.com, NicCircle.com and NicGot.com. All of those domains were registered on December 19, 2013.

Brand.com a domain that I detected likely sold recently, was acquired by “Bill Ding” from the failed startup who acquired it for $500K and reported sold for $300K. I was told the domain was sold to an “end user” from Igloo.com who sold it but the domain has been listed on Sedo. Bill also owns domain names like Top.com, Companion.com and CFF.com to mention a few.

inMusic Brands Inc. registered the domain names RizeLite.com, RizeProfessional.com, RizeRentals.com and RizeTouring.com.

StreamingDelivery.com has been acquired by Paypal Inc. according to whois records. The domain was owned by Graham Rupe of GrupeLLC. On September 17, 2014 registrant email address switched to [email protected]” and now as of May 28, 2015 whois reflects Paypal Inc. as the new owners.

Future Media Architects, Inc. sold 11, 3 letter .com domain names to “Caijun Xu” who I think is connected to Hangzhou Duomai? Those domains included: WYS.com, RYD.com, PSF.com, NSJ.com, NRT.com, MBQ.com, KQS.com, KDJ.com, FMJ.com, FCK.com and BJR.com. Telepathy, Inc. also sold LLY.com to Hangzhou Duomai.

The sell off continued from FMZ to Caijun Xu with BGJ.com, GMZ.com, IUU.com, JLQ.com, MJT.com, PXZ.com and XMK.com

And even more with: FYJ.com, FYQ.com, FZM.com, FZY.com, XHR.com and XZY.com

Huggle App Limited has acquired the domain name Huggle.com, which took place on or about April 2, 2015 when the domain when into whois privacy. The domain was using SedoParking at the time of the transaction and has been registered since December 7, 1999.

Now several domain names at MarkMonitor like HuggleDate.com, HuggleDates.com, HuggleDating.com, HuggleFriend.com, HuggleFriends.com, HuggleMeet.com, HuggleOnline.com, HuggleSocial.com and HuggleSucks.com and more have been registered.

The website stats: “Huggle lets you discover and connect with the people who go to the places you go, and shows you when you have places in common.”

EveryBadAss.com has been registered by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. To go along with that domain, the following were also registered. BattlebornBadAssador.com, EveryKindOfBadAss.com, ForEveryBadAss.com, ForEveryKindOfBadAss.com, KindOfBadAss.com and KindsOfBadAss.com.

To note: Battleborn is a next-gen hero-shooter game that is currently under pre-order status but Battleborn.com is registered at eNom and the makers of the game Gearbox Software has it’s domain registered at GoDaddy… so it’s hard to if the two are connected or may be they have been acquired? The Battleborn game was announced in 2014 and has yet to launch.

YourVoiceCounts.com was grabbed on the drop by BuyDomains.com on March 14, 2015 and has been sold to Wal-Mart Stores Inc.. I had reported on this domain in a March 27, 2015 Domain Movers article but at that time, it was unknown who the MarkMonitor client was that acquired the domain. BuyDomains owned the domain for less than 10 days and sold it for $1,716.

OneFifty.com has very likely been acquired according to whois records and the new owners are Time Warner Inc. The domain is currently registered at Network Solutions under whois privacy and only DNS changed, but the domain name is redirecting to TimeWarner.com/150 . OneFifty.com was long owned by a Rick Dirks of Dallas Texas. Time Warner does not own 150.com.

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. has registered the domain name GonnaHaveAGoodDay.com

LetsSuperMario.com has been registered by a “Bobby Patterson” of Tallahassee, FL at CSC Corporate Domains. This was an “odd” domain registration for me to see . The email address [email protected]” is used in whois and that is not common to see in a CSC whois record, nor is an individuals name. Plus Super Mario is a registered trademark of Nintendo Of America Inc. Nintendo is a CSC client.

McDonald’s Corporation has registered the domain name MyPerfectBurger.com. The domain was registered before but expired on February 28, 2015 at 1&1.

Treasury Wine Estates Americas Company registered the domain name OfficialWineOfSteak.com

A currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client has registered the domain name SecureWorkspaces.com. SecureWorkspace.com is owned by True North Networks LLC and is registered at GoDaddy.

Mondelez International, Inc. has registered the domain name OreoThinvitation.com, adding to its domain name portfolio of about 4,300 domain names. Interestingly enough, Thinvitation.com was registered in 2013 and is not owned by Mondelez.

GoDaddy.com has sold the domain names OneSpace.com to a Ryan Noble and LocalChat.com to a Chad Wright according to whois records. Both domains were moved to DomainNameSales.com. Both domains were acquired by GoDaddy through the Marchex domain name portfolio purchase.

Apple Inc. has secured the domain name iCloud.us that was owned by “Mr Bojangles” of Xcerion according to whois records at Network Solutions. The domain name was registered on September 22, 2007 and has since been transferred to CSC Corporate Domains and displays Apple Inc as the owners. iCloud.com was owned by Xcerion prior to Apple acquiring the domain name for a reported $4.5 Million in April 2011. It is not clear if the iCloud.us domain name was included in the .com domain purchase or if this was later acquired.
